Arizer Extreme Q Review (2026): The $200 Desktop That Does Both
The Extreme Q is old, it is plastic and glass, it has a remote control, and it is still the cheapest desktop vaporizer that fills a bag properly.

| Pick | Why | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arizer Extreme Q Verdict: 4 / 5 | Whip and balloon for $200. Slow, but honest. | $199.99 | |
| Arizer V-Tower Whip-only version | Same heater, no fan or bag. Review. | $119.00 |
What it is
A desktop vaporizer: a base with a ceramic heating element and a fan, a glass "cyclone" bowl that sits on top and holds the herb, and a choice of a glass whip for direct draws or a balloon the fan fills. Temperature is set on the unit or with the included remote control, the fan has three speeds, and there's a timer. It runs on mains power and has been in production, with minor revisions, since 2009.
How it vapes
Through the whip, it's a slow, flavorful, convection draw: you control the pace, the fan can assist, and the glass path keeps it clean. Through the bag it's a Volcano experience at a third of the price: the fan fills the balloon, you detach it, you sip. The fan is weaker than a Volcano's and the heater takes several minutes to reach temperature, so filling a bag is a leisurely business. Vapor is lighter than a Volcano's too. But it's the same idea, done properly, for $199.99.
The remote
It sounds like a gimmick and it isn't. A desktop vaporizer lives across the room; setting temperature and fan from the couch is the feature you'll use every session.
What's wrong with it
It's slow to heat. The body is plastic and looks its age. The bowl-on-top design means the glass is exposed and gets knocked. The balloon system is Arizer's own and a little fiddlier than S&B's easy valve. None of these are reasons not to buy it at the price; they're reasons a Volcano costs more.
Who should buy it
Anyone who wants a bag-and-whip desktop and can't or won't spend $450 on a Volcano Classic. If you'll only ever use the whip, the V-Tower is the same heater for $80 less. Extreme Q at Cannabox.
