Puffco Pivot Review (2026): The Dab Pen for People Who Own a Rig
Most dab pens are coils with a battery. The Pivot has a real chamber, and it tastes like it. Whether that is worth $130 depends on what you are used to.

What it is
A pocket concentrate vaporizer with a ceramic chamber you load directly, three heat settings, a sealed body and USB-C charging. It's Puffco's answer to the wax pen, built the way they build rigs: heat the walls, not a wire.
How it compares to a normal wax pen
A $30 pen has a coil, often quartz, sometimes with a ceramic dish. The coil gets hot fast and scorches whatever touches it; that's the burnt taste people associate with pens. The Pivot's chamber heats more slowly and evenly, so a low-setting hit tastes like the concentrate rather than the heater. That's the whole argument for spending four times as much, and if you've dabbed off a good rig you'll hear it immediately. If you've only used pens, you may wonder what the fuss is about.
Using it
Load, press, wait a few seconds, draw. The low setting is flavor, the high setting is a proper hit that will empty the chamber. The mouthpiece pulls off for cleaning, and the chamber gets the same warm-swab treatment as a Peak. The glass adapter, sold separately for $60, lets you run it through a bubbler, which turns it into a small e-rig and is the accessory most owners buy.
What's wrong with it
The price, at $129.99, is the whole objection. It's also not the biggest cloud in the category; a Yocan Orbit makes more vapor for a third of the money. And like every chamber pen, it wants cleaning after every few sessions or the flavor goes.
Who should buy it
People who already own a Peak or a good rig and want the same flavor when they're out. People who've been through three coil pens and are tired of the taste. Not first-time buyers; start with a $28 Terp Pen and upgrade if you want more.
