Puffco Proxy Review (2026): A Rig That Fits Your Glass
The Proxy is the Peak's heater with the rig removed, so you can put it in any glass built for it. That makes it the most flexible thing Puffco sells, and the most portable.

What it is
The Proxy is a compact base with a 3D chamber and a single button. It drops into glass that has a matching socket: the pipe it ships with, Puffco's bubbler, or third-party pieces from MJ Arsenal, Empire Glassworks and others. The heater is the same idea as the Peak Pro's, the chamber heats from the walls, and it has four heat settings on the device. There's no app on the current version we tested, and it charges over USB-C.
Why you'd want it
Two reasons. The first is glass. A Peak is a Peak; a Proxy is whatever glass you put it in, and there are already dozens of pieces made for it, from a plain pipe to elaborate bubblers. If you care what your rig looks like on the shelf, the Proxy is the only Puffco that lets you decide. The second is portability. The base with the pipe is small enough for a jacket pocket and doesn't need water, so it's the full-power Puffco you can actually take somewhere.
How it hits
Dry, through the pipe, it's a big pen: hot, flavorful, a little harsh on the high setting. Through the bubbler with water it's a rig, close to the Peak and behind the Pro at the low-temperature end. The chamber is the same consumable story as the Peak Pro: swab it warm, replace it eventually, about $50 for a Proxy 3D chamber at Cannabox.
What's wrong with it
The total cost sneaks up. The base is $250; add the bubbler and you're at the Peak Pro's price without the app or the dock. And the modularity means more small parts to lose and clean. If you'll only ever use it one way, a Peak is simpler.
Who should buy it
People who already own glass they love and want to dab through it electrically. People who want one device that's a pocket pipe on the road and a bubbler at home. And anyone who finds the Peak's look too much like an appliance.
