PAX Mini 2 Review (2026): The Pocket Vaporizer, Second Try

The Mini 2 continues the idea of the 2023 Mini: one button, one temperature, a body you forget is in your pocket. That is a real product. It is not a vapor-quality product.

What it is

PAX's smallest dry herb vaporizer, a successor to the 2023 Mini, at $150. The Mini's formula was one fixed temperature, one button, an LED, a conduction oven, and a body smaller than any competitor's. The Mini 2 keeps that formula. This review is about what that formula gets you, since we haven't had a Mini 2 in hand long enough to speak to changes in the oven or battery, and we'd rather say so than invent them.

What a tiny conduction oven does well

Heats fast, hides anywhere, and asks nothing of you. You load it, press the button, wait for the light, and draw. There's no temperature to choose, no app, no cooling unit to disassemble. For someone who wants to vaporize instead of smoke and has no interest in the hobby side of vaporizers, that simplicity is the product.

What it does less well

Conduction ovens this small heat the herb that touches the walls first and the middle last, so you get the best vapor from a tightly packed, finely ground oven and a stir halfway through. Vapor is thinner and warmer than from anything with a real vapor path. The fixed temperature is a compromise that suits nobody perfectly. And at $150 the Mini 2 costs more than the DynaVap M7, which extracts better and never needs charging, and only $50 less than the DaVinci IQ Core, which has a full ceramic path.

Who should buy it

People for whom the size is the point: discreet, pocketable, no learning curve. If you'd describe yourself as caring about vapor quality, buy something with an adjustable temperature. PAX Mini 2 at Cannabox. See the PAX lineup guide for the Four and Flow.
