Which PAX Should You Buy in 2026? Mini 2 vs Four vs Flow
PAX has replaced its whole dry herb lineup since 2023. Here is what the new devices are, what they replaced, and our honest position on ranking devices we have not spent time with.

What PAX is, and isn't
PAX makes the vaporizers people carry. Every PAX dry herb device is a conduction oven in a body small enough for a pocket, with one button, a simple LED, and a design that looks like something Apple would sell. They are not the best-vaping devices you can buy; Storz & Bickel and Arizer beat them on vapor quality at every price. They are the best-carrying ones, and that's a real thing to be best at.
What happened to the PAX 3, Plus and Mini
The PAX 3 was the mainline device from 2016 to 2023, the Plus and Mini replaced it in 2023, and all three are now out of stock and being phased out. If you own one, it still works, and PAX's accessories mostly still fit. If you're buying new, the current lineup is the Mini 2, the Four, and the Flow.
PAX Mini 2
The Mini was PAX's simplest device: one temperature, one button, nothing to configure, and the smallest body they've made. The Mini 2 is its successor at $150. It's the PAX for someone who wants a vaporizer the size of a lighter and never wants to think about settings. Our review covers what we know and what we don't.
PAX Four
The Four is the new mainline device at $250, the slot the PAX 3 and Plus used to occupy. PAX's claim is 60% more vapor than its predecessors in a lighter body. That would address the one consistent complaint about PAX ovens, which is that they produce thin vapor unless you pack them tight. We haven't used one long enough to say whether the claim holds, so it's listed here, not ranked. PAX Four at Cannabox.
PAX Flow
The Flow is the flagship at $350, PAX's most expensive dry herb vaporizer to date and a price that puts it against the Crafty+ and near the Mighty+. We don't know enough about it to tell you what you get for the extra hundred over the Four, and we won't guess. When we've spent time with it, this section will say something useful. Our position, honestly
This site reviewed every PAX from the original through the 3, and this guide will be updated with real verdicts on the 2026 lineup. Until then: if you want a PAX because you want the smallest, simplest vaporizer, the Mini 2 is that. If you're choosing between the Four and a Storz & Bickel Crafty+ at almost the same price, the Crafty+ is the better vaporizer and the Four is the better pocket device, and only you know which of those you're buying.
