Storz & Bickel Mighty+ Review (2026): The Portable Everything Else Is Measured Against

A decade after the original Mighty, the plus version is still the portable vaporizer we recommend first. Here is why, and the two reasons you might buy something else.

What it is

A hand-held dry herb vaporizer with a hybrid heater, meaning it warms the chamber walls and pushes hot air through the herb at the same time, and a long plastic cooling unit on top that brings the vapor down to a temperature you can take a full draw of. Two batteries inside, USB-C charging, a display with the set and actual temperature, and plus-and-minus buttons. That's the entire interface, and it's why people who own one never open the manual.

What changed from the original Mighty

The plus, released in 2021, swapped the barrel charger for USB-C, coated the chamber in ceramic so it cleans easier and heats faster, and shaved the heat-up time to around a minute. Otherwise it's the same device. If you own an original Mighty that works, there's no reason to upgrade. If you're buying new, the original is discontinued and the plus is the one.

How it vapes

This is the part that matters. Load the chamber, set a temperature, wait for the beep, draw. The vapor is dense, cool, and consistent from the first pull to the last, and the hybrid heating means you can leave a bowl alone without stirring and it will extract evenly. At lower temperatures, around 175 °C, it tastes like the herb; at the top of the range it's a heavy, sedating hit. The cooling unit is the reason S&B vapor feels different from everyone else's: the vapor path is long, so it arrives cool without water.

Battery is roughly an hour and a half of continuous use, which in practice is a day or two of sessions. It charges while it runs.

Maintenance

Brush the chamber after each session, pull the cooling unit apart and soak it in isopropyl every week or two. The cooling unit has a few small parts and is the one thing about the Mighty that's fiddly. Filling aids and dosing capsules exist to make loading cleaner and are worth the few dollars.

What's wrong with it

It's big. Not pocketable in any honest sense; it goes in a bag or a jacket. It's plastic, which at $399 some people resent, though the plastic is medical-grade and has held up for a decade in owners' hands. And the draw is on the restricted side; if you want to pull like you're on a desktop, the Venty was built for you.

Who should buy it

Anyone who wants the best portable vapor without thinking about it. That is most people reading this. Mighty+ at Cannabox, $399.
