What it is
Storz & Bickel's 2023 portable, and their first new design since the Mighty. Same hybrid heating, same cooling-unit concept, in a body about the Mighty's size with three changes that matter: a physical airflow slider, a heat-up time of around twenty seconds, and Bluetooth control from a phone app alongside the on-device buttons.
The airflow slider is the product
Every S&B portable before the Venty drew a little tight. Good vapor, but you worked for it. The Venty's slider goes from a Mighty-like restriction to a wide-open pull that feels like a desktop whip, and at the open end you can take a long, easy draw that fills your lungs without effort. That's the reason it exists. If that sentence describes something you've wanted, buy the Venty and stop reading.
The rest
Twenty seconds to temperature is a real quality-of-life gain over the Mighty's minute; you stop planning sessions around the heat-up. The app lets you set temperatures precisely and adjust things like the boost, but the device is fully usable without it, which is how S&B should have done the Crafty+ too. Vapor quality is the Mighty's: dense, cool, even. Battery life is similar.
What's wrong with it
The price: $449 is $50 over the Mighty+ for a feature you may not want. It's just as big. Early units had a firmware issue that S&B fixed with updates, and the one review on Cannabox's page is a 2-star from that period; current units don't have the problem, but it's worth knowing the app update is not optional on a new one.
Who should buy it
People who found the Mighty's draw restrictive, and people who value a twenty-second heat-up enough to pay for it. Everyone else should read the Mighty+ review and save the money. Venty at Cannabox, $449.
