Which Storz & Bickel Vaporizer Should You Buy? Mighty+ vs Venty vs Crafty+ vs Volcano
Storz & Bickel makes six vaporizers and all of them are good. This is how to pick the one you will actually use.

Why this brand gets its own guide
Storz & Bickel is the German company that made the first Volcano in 2000 and has built every vaporizer since to the same standard: medical-grade materials, hybrid convection-plus-conduction heating, precise temperature control, and bodies that last a decade. Their devices show up in every one of our dry herb rankings because they're the reference the others are measured against. The problem is choosing between them.
The quick decision
Portable, and money isn't the main constraint: Mighty+. Portable, and you want the biggest, easiest draw: Venty. Portable under $300: Crafty+. Home use, especially shared: Volcano Hybrid. Home use, and you'd rather have no app, no battery, and no firmware for the next fifteen years: Volcano Classic. First S&B under $250: the Veazy, with the caveat that we haven't reviewed it yet.
Mighty+ vs Venty
These two are the real decision for most buyers. Both are hybrid heaters with the long cooling unit that makes S&B vapor smooth. The Mighty+ is the 2021 refresh of the 2014 Mighty: USB-C, a ceramic-coated chamber, about a minute to heat, controls on the device, no app needed. The Venty is the 2023 successor: it heats in around twenty seconds, has a physical airflow slider that lets you open the draw up much wider than the Mighty, and adds Bluetooth app control alongside the on-device buttons.
If you've ever wished a portable would let you take a long, loose pull like a desktop, the Venty is built for that and it's worth the extra $50. If you've never had that complaint, the Mighty+ is the same vapor for less, with fewer things to update. Full reviews: Mighty+, Venty.
Crafty+: the value pick
The Crafty+ is the Mighty's vapor path in a body two-thirds the size, with one battery instead of two and the display replaced by an app. Sessions are shorter between charges, roughly an hour of continuous use, and you'll reach for your phone to change temperature. For someone who vapes at home and charges nightly, that's a fair trade for saving $130. Full review.
Volcano Hybrid vs Volcano Classic
Both are desktop units that fill a balloon with vapor. The Hybrid, from 2019, adds a whip for direct draws, a hybrid heater that warms up in about half a minute, a digital display, and an app. The Classic is the original design: an analog temperature dial, balloon only, about three minutes to warm up, and no electronics beyond the heater and the fan. It also carries a three-year warranty and a track record of units from the early 2000s still running.
The Hybrid is the better vaporizer. The Classic is the better appliance. If you'll use the whip or want to set temperature from the couch, Hybrid. If you want the thing that will still be working in 2040, Classic, and put the $210 you saved toward herb. Reviews: Hybrid, Classic.
Veazy: the one we haven't ranked
The Veazy is Storz & Bickel's newest and cheapest portable, a convection device aimed at first-time buyers and sold in four colors at $249. S&B's track record says it's probably good. We don't publish verdicts on devices we haven't used, so for now it's listed, not ranked. If you want an S&B and $399 is out of reach, it's the obvious candidate; if you can stretch to the Crafty+, that's the one we can vouch for. Veazy at Cannabox.
What about the original Mighty and Crafty, and the Plenty?
The original Mighty and Crafty are discontinued and out of stock; the plus versions replaced them with USB-C and faster heating and there's no reason to hunt for the old ones. The Plenty, S&B's corded hand-held unit, isn't stocked at Cannabox and we haven't included it here; it's a fine device for people who never leave the sofa.
